Dymphna D'Arcy studied dance and experimental theatre in London and
Cardiff before going on to complete her BA in Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University
and a MA in Film at Newport International Film School
I have performed and lectured in varies parts of the world including Norway and Japan.
through dance, performance, video /photography and digital media
Central to my practice are concerns and issues dealing with identity, time and space.
Examining time as a multi-present evolving process.
I am inspired by the intrinsic transformative quality of performance, film and digital imagery.
Through my practice I explore the unexpected and the consequential effects of time on place
And the influence this has on our own personal sense of place and identity.
